Agave obscura

Native to arid regions, the Century Plant thrives in full sun, its native habitat marked by intense sunlight and minimal shade. It also tolerates partial sun, giving it some flexibility in its growth.

Century Plant does best in warm settings and needs higher temperatures during the growing season to support its growth and metabolic processes. It prefers abundant sunlight, proper moisture, and good air circulation. However, it is vulnerable to harm from very low temperatures and from excessive watering. It is also important to maintain balance and avoid temperatures that are too high or conditions that are too dry.

For Century Plant, light applications of fertilizer once or twice a year during the growing season are enough. Do not fertilize in winter or summer, when the plant is dormant. Use less fertilizer on repotted plants and wait a couple of months after repotting before applying fertilizer. Fertilizing promotes healthy growth and encourages blooms.
