Care Guide
💧 Water
☀️ Light Partial sun
Alocasia scalprum originates from habitats such as forest understories or rocky areas, where it grows in natural shade. It prefers partial sun but can tolerate full sun or full shade, showing its versatile and hardy nature.
🌡️ Temperature 20–37.8°C
Alocasia scalprum comes from tropical areas, where the climate is generally warm and humid. Consequently, it is adapted to higher temperatures and humidity. It does not tolerate sudden temperature shifts and prefers a consistent temperature, so avoiding indoor temperature fluctuations is important. It typically cannot withstand cold conditions and needs warmer temperatures for growth. If the surrounding temperature falls too low, the plant may stop growing or even die.

🌱 Fertilizer
Alocasia scalprum needs the most fertilizer during its active growth period, which occurs mainly in spring, summer, and early fall. Fertilization is required to supply essential nutrients the soil may lack, supporting healthy root and stem development as well as the attractive foliage that is a distinguishing feature of this plant.
🪴 Pot & Repot Once a year
Repot Alocasia scalprum in spring or summer when temperatures are sufficiently warm, using a pot that's a bit larger and has good drainage. Water thoroughly after repotting, and place the plant in a spot with bright, indirect light. Consider using a moss pole for support as the plant develops.
