Umbelled rock jasmine is native to habitats with dappled sunlight, such as forest understories or rocky spots that offer natural shade. It does best in partial sun but can also tolerate full sun.

Umbelled rock jasmine, which originates from alpine environments, thrives in cool climates with moderate moisture. It does best with weekly watering to maintain hydration but can handle brief dry spells. For optimal health, it should be grown outdoors in conditions that closely resemble its natural mountainous habitat, with enough rainfall during the growing season.

When most of the Umbelled rock jasmine's blooms have opened to full size, resume fertilizing. Around the period when blooms are at their peak, fertilize every three to four weeks, as the weather allows.
