A note from PlantMom

Bursera grandifolia is resistant to disease and is usually not susceptible to illnesses. Regarding care, this plant is fairly low-maintenance. When grown outdoors it needs only light watering, and larger specimens typically do not require pruning. Smaller plants, however, should be pruned after they finish blooming. Bursera grandifoliat is suitable for anyone with an outdoor area, such as a garden or deck, and does not demand extensive care experience.

CARE GUIDE

How to keep Bursera Grandifolia.

Light

Bursera grandifolia is native to open habitats, such as sunlit meadows and forest edges, where light is plentiful. It thrives in Full Sun but can also tolerate Partial Sun, adapting well to a range of light conditions.

Temperature

Bursera grandifolia comes from tropical areas, where the climate is generally warm and humid. Therefore it is well adapted to high temperatures and moisture. It is sensitive to sudden temperature changes and prefers a stable thermal environment, so avoiding temperature fluctuations indoors is important. It generally cannot tolerate cold and requires warmer conditions for growth. If the ambient temperature falls too low, the plant may stop growing or even die.

Fertilizer

Fertilizing is essential for the care of Bursera grandifolia. Consistent feeding during the growing season maintains the energy needed for its showy foliage and supports overall growth. Failing to fertilize can lead to unhealthy leaves, reduced ornamental appeal, and stunted or weak growth that is prone to breaking.
