A note from PlantMom

Cyclamen cilicium subsp. mirabile has good resistance to disease and is generally unlikely to suffer from illnesses. However, it can be affected by pests and diseases present in its environment. Such infections are usually mild. Regarding care, this plant requires a moderate level of maintenance. It should be pruned regularly to maintain an attractive appearance and healthy growth. Fertilizing can also help encourage flowering. Cyclamen cilicium subsp. mirabile is appropriate for anyone who has outdoor space, such as a garden or patio, and does not demand extensive gardening experience. It may need more attention when cultivated indoors.

CARE GUIDE

How to keep Cyclamen Mirabile.

Light

Cyclamen cilicium subsp. mirabile occurs naturally in habitats such as forest understories and rocky sites, where it exists in natural shade. It prefers partial sun but can tolerate full sun or full shade, reflecting its adaptable and hardy nature.

Temperature

Cyclamen cilicium subsp. mirabile can adapt to a wide range of temperature conditions, but its distribution may still be constrained by different combinations of water and heat. It does best in warm summer climates with adequate rainfall or watering. Extended periods of cloudy and rainy weather, as well as prolonged high temperatures, can increase the likelihood of Cyclamen cilicium subsp. mirabile dying. In winter, proper protection from cold can improve the plant's survival rate.

Fertilizer

The primary time to fertilize Cyclamen cilicium subsp. mirabile is in early spring when the flowers are forming. Using the appropriate fertilizer promotes better blooms and helps Cyclamen cilicium subsp. mirabile produce attractive flowers. Fertilizing in early spring ensures strong flowers during the season and supplies energy for dormant growth phases.

Pot & Repot

When repotting Cyclamen cilicium subsp. mirabile, choose a pot 1–2 inches (2.5–5.1 cm) larger with good drainage. Use a well-draining potting mix. Repot in spring or fall, making sure the root ball sits slightly below the rim of the pot. Water thoroughly after repotting and place it in a warm spot with indirect sunlight.
