☀️ Light Full sun

The showy guinea flower comes from open habitats, such as sunny meadows and forest edges, where plenty of light is available. It does best in full sun but can also tolerate partial sun, showing good adaptability to different light conditions.

Ideal: Full sun
🌡️ Temperature 20–37.8°C

The showy guinea flower adapts well to a variety of climate conditions, tolerating both scorching summers and chilly winters. However, it has a preferred temperature range for growth. If temperatures become too high, the plant is vulnerable to heat and humidity stress, which can cause it to die. In areas where temperatures approach the lower limit of its cold tolerance, it is important to provide insulation to protect the plant.

✂️ Pruning

The showy guinea flower is an evergreen shrub known for its yellow star-shaped flowers and linear leaves. To promote bushier growth, improve air circulation, and increase flowering, it's best to lightly prune the plant in early spring. Be cautious not to prune too heavily, as this can harm the shrub. It's important to time your pruning to align with the plant's growth cycle for the best results.
