Hoya Campanulata

Hoya campanulata is native to habitats like forest understories and rocky areas, where it grows in natural shade. It prefers partial sun but can tolerate full sun or full shade, reflecting its versatile, hardy nature.

Hoya campanulata comes from tropical areas where the weather is generally warm and humid. Consequently, it is adapted to high temperatures and humidity. It dislikes sudden temperature shifts and prefers a consistent thermal environment, so avoiding indoor temperature fluctuations is important. It typically cannot tolerate cold and needs relatively high temperatures to grow. If the ambient temperature falls too low, the plant may stop growing or even die.

Hoya campanulata needs the most fertilizer during its active growth period, which occurs mainly in spring, summer, and early fall. Fertilization supplies essential nutrients the soil may lack, supporting healthy root and stem growth as well as the attractive foliage that is a defining characteristic of this plant.

When repotting Hoya campanulata, choose a pot 1–2 inches (2.5–5.1 cm) larger with ample drainage. Use a well-draining potting mix.
