CARE GUIDE

How to keep Hypericum Sampsonii.

Water

Hypericum sampsonii is well-suited for dry conditions but does not tolerate waterlogged soil. During its first year, it needs about 25 mm (1 inch) of water each week. From the second year onward, regular rainfall is usually enough to sustain it. It's important to avoid overwatering, as this can cause root rot and lead to wilting leaves.

Pruning

Hypericum sampsonii needs very little pruning. Ideally, trim 20% to 25% of the branch length by late spring to encourage new growth. In winter, perform a thorough pruning for the more robust varieties. Due to its short lifespan, you might want to replace declining plants with new seedlings.
