Care Guide
💧 Water
☀️ Light Full sun
Originating from arid areas, Lithops julii does best in full sun, its natural habitat marked by intense sunlight and very little shade. It can also tolerate partial sun, providing some flexibility in its growth.
🌡️ Temperature 20–37.8°C
Although Lithops julii tolerates some heat, it mainly thrives and grows in the cooler seasons and becomes dormant in summer. In hot summer conditions, provide shade to avoid scorching from strong sunlight. Watering should be reduced or halted during the hottest period to prevent root rot. Winter and spring are when Lithops julii exhibits vigorous growth. As long as temperatures do not fall too low, it will continue to grow steadily.

🌱 Fertilizer
For Lithops julii, light applications of fertilizer once or twice a year during the growing season are sufficient. Do not fertilize in winter or summer when the plant is dormant. Reduce fertilizer for repotted plants and wait a couple of months after repotting before applying fertilizer. Fertilizing supports healthy growth and encourages blooms.
🪴 Pot & Repot Every 2 years
When repotting Lithops julii, pick a pot slightly larger than the current one that has good drainage. Use a gritty, well-draining cactus or succulent mix. Gently lift the plant from its old pot, remove excess soil, and set it in the new pot at the same depth. Wait a few days before watering so any root damage can heal. Repot in spring or fall and place it in a brightly lit location.
