Wingleaf primrose-willow needs plenty of light to grow vigorously, as it originated in sunny habitats. Although it can tolerate lower light levels, its health may decline. Throughout its development, abundant sunlight is necessary for its petals to be firm, fragrant, and vibrant. If exposed to insufficient light, its growth can become stunted.

Wingleaf primrose-willow is native to habitats where temperatures range from 68 to 100 °F (20 to 38 ℃). It may require seasonal adjustments to achieve optimal growth and development. Care should be taken to replicate these temperature conditions.

When most of the Wingleaf primrose-willow's flowers have opened fully, it's time to resume fertilizing. At the peak of flowering, apply fertilizer every three to four weeks, weather permitting. Then, once the plant begins producing fewer new flowers, stop fertilizing; there's no need to feed it when it can no longer produce additional blooms.
