Originally from dry regions, Sunbright does best in full sun, its native habitat marked by intense sunlight and little shade. It can also tolerate partial sun, providing some flexibility in its growth.

Although Sunbright can tolerate some heat, it mainly performs and grows during the cooler seasons and becomes dormant in summer. In very hot summer temperatures, provide shade to prevent scorching from intense sunlight. Watering should be reduced or stopped during the hottest season to avoid root rot. Sunbright shows vigorous growth in winter and spring. As long as the temperature does not drop too low, it will continue to grow steadily.

Sunbright only needs light fertilizer applications once or twice a year during the growing season. Do not fertilize in winter or in summer when it is dormant. Use less fertilizer after repotting and wait a couple of months following repotting before you feed it. Fertilizing helps maintain healthy growth and promotes blooming.

Sunbright benefits from pruning in early spring, which helps remove dead stems and encourages vigorous growth. Lightly trimming spent flowers can enhance blooming and increase foliage density, while also improving air circulation and disease resistance. However, be sure to avoid excessive pruning, as it can stress the plant.
