Description

Source: leafsnap

Pseudofumaria lutea (syn. Corydalis lutea), the yellow corydalis or rock fumewort, is a short-lived perennial plant in the poppy family Papaveraceae. It is native to the southern foothills of the south-western and central Alps of Italy and Switzerland, but widely introduced elsewhere.

🌳 Yellow corydalis is an ornamental shrub that thrives in gardens with dry, rocky soils, making it a great choice for rock gardens and cottage gardens. This plant forms clumps and is ideal as a border plant along garden edges or pathways. It can also serve as an accent plant in wildflower garden beds. The foliage is present for most of the year, and during spring and summer, it produces striking yellow blooms.
