Temperature

New caledonia retrophyllum is fairly adaptable to temperature, tolerating higher heat and wide temperature swings. When it is hot, attention should be paid to watering and appropriate shading should be provided to prevent sunburn. However, New caledonia retrophyllum is relatively sensitive to low temperatures. Though it can handle some cold, very low temperatures may cause frost damage.
