It is native to Bangladesh, Borneo, Cambodia, China, Eastern Himalaya, India, Java, Laos, the Lesser Sunda Islands, Myanmar, New Guinea, the Nicobar Islands, the Philippines, the Ryukyu Islands, Sulawesi, Sumatra, Thailand, and Vietnam.
