Berberis alpina demonstrates strong resistance to diseases and is typically not vulnerable to them. Regarding maintenance, this plant is fairly easy to look after. When planted outside it needs only occasional watering, and larger plants usually do not require pruning. Smaller plants, however, should be pruned after flowering. Berberis alpinat is appropriate for anyone with an outdoor area, like a garden or deck, and does not demand extensive gardening experience.
