A note from PlantMom

Variable fleabane has strong disease resistance and is typically not prone to illnesses. Nonetheless, it can be vulnerable to pests and diseases present in its surroundings. These problems are usually not serious. As for care, this plant needs a moderate amount of attention. It should be pruned regularly to preserve a neat appearance and support healthy growth. Fertilizing can also help encourage blooming. Variable fleabane is appropriate for anyone with outdoor space, such as a garden or patio, and does not require extensive experience in plant care. When kept indoors, it may demand more maintenance.

CARE GUIDE

How to keep Erigeron Glabratus.

Light

Variable fleabane is a sun-loving perennial herbaceous plant that comes from open habitats, frequently thriving in meadows and grasslands. It prefers full sun but can also tolerate partial sun.

Temperature

Variable fleabane can tolerate a wide range of temperatures, yet its distribution may still be restricted by particular combinations of moisture and heat. It does best in warm summer climates with sufficient rainfall or irrigation. Extended periods of cloudy, rainy weather or prolonged high temperatures can raise the chance of Variable fleabane dying. In winter, adequate protection from cold can increase the plant’s survival rate.

Fertilizer

The best time to fertilize a Variable fleabane is in early spring, as it leaves dormancy and starts active growth. Fertilization supplies essential nutrients needed for healthy development. While Variable fleabane has fairly low fertilizer requirements, an annual application can improve its survival and encourage better, longer-lasting blooms.
