Gymnocalycium quehlianum is a species of cactus native to Argentina, belonging to the family Cactaceae. Commonly known as the "Quehlianum cactus," it features a globular shape and can grow up to 10 cm in height and 8 cm in diameter. The plant has a greenish-blue color with white spines emerging from its areoles.

This cactus requires well-draining soil, bright sunlight, and moderate watering during its growing season. While it can withstand temperatures as low as -5°C, it thrives best in warmer conditions ranging from 20-30°C.

During the summer months, Gymnocalycium quehlianum produces stunning pink or purple flowers, each about 4-5 cm in diameter, with numerous petals arranged around a central stigma.
